An exit interview was conducted with the director to discuss the results of today's inspection.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today, February 22, 2016 to determine the center's compliance with licensing standards. Upon arrival, the following ratios were observed:
Two year old room: 3 staff/ 18 children
Three year old room: 3 staff/ 28 children
Four year old room: 3 staff/ 29 children
Children completed eating lunch and prepared for nap time. Children slept on mats with the appropriate bedding. Children's books, toys, and equipment were inspected and found to be age appropriate and in operable condition. All classrooms were inspected to include main hallways and children's restrooms. Due to inclement weather the outdoor playground were not inspected.
The center had the required postings displayed upon entering the center and in children's classrooms. The center's first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected with additional supplies found. Ten children's and two staff records were inspected with the required information found captured. The following was also inspected: MAT certificates, fire/shelter-in-place drills, first aid/CPR certifications, emergency preparedness plan, and other pertinent information. During today's inspection some staff received training via Smart Beginnings, Inc.
