Today an unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted beginning at 10am. There were 9 children present today with 2 staff. Children were observed playing at various stations, having circle time, and learning numbers and words in spanish. Violations from the previous inspection are observed as corrected. Four children's records were reviewed and found to be complete with required updated information. Staff records are current with background checks, TB tests, certifications and training hours. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-C Description: Based on direct observation, devices for killing pests and insects are in an area accessible to children. Evidence: On the floor by the sink there was a sticky trap for mice stating "keep out of reach of children". Next to the trap were bait traps for insects, also stating "keep out of reach of children". Plan of Correction: Removed during inspection. We will let the building manager know that we cannot have these in the open where children are in care.
