- Technical Assistance:
When cleaning the diaper pad, staff use soap and water spray to clean the diaper pad then spray bleach and water mixture to sanitize the pad. Bleach and water should be made daily.
38 Children were in care during the inspection. The age range of the children was three to five years old. Children were observed during outside time and rest time. Two staff are current in MAT. Four staff and five children's records were reviewed. Inspection time12:50pm-2:35pm
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-70-A Description: Based on review of T.B. tests in staff files not all were signed by a physician, the physicians's designee or an official of the local health department. Evidence : Of four staff files reviewed Staff A,B and C's T.B. test were given by the school's RN. Plan of Correction: We will have staff take a new T.B. tests.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-270-A Description: Based on observation of the playground, The center did not have mulch covering the weed block . Evidence: Weed block is sticking up under the vortex and in the area the children walk between the equipment. The weed block posing a tripping hazard. Plan of Correction: we will add more mulch and cover all weed block. The area will off limits to the children.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-330-B Description: Based on review of the playground, not all equipment had resilient surfacing in the fall zones. Evidence: The vortex and the balance beam were over hard packed dirt. Plan of Correction: We will have more mulch added and the equipment will be off limits to the children.
