An unannounced monitoring inspection was initiated today at 12:45pm. The physical plant, 4 staff files, 4 children's files, staff training, children's activities, medications, emergency procedures, drills and supplies were inspected today. The outside playground was not inspected today due to the weather conditions. There were 31 children under the supervision of 5 staff. During the inspection, children were observed enjoying free play, listening to a teacher read a story, cleaning up to leave for the day, writing in their journals and taking naps. The children bring in their lunches from home each day. Earlier today, the children performed a Mother's Day play and enjoying a luncheon for their mothers. The interactions between the children and staff were seen to be positive and constructive in nature. There is currently 1 staff certified in MAT (medication administration training).
