Technical Assistance:
Technical assistance included USDA Child Care Food Program Meal Patterns for Snacks; storage areas on the lower level; furnishings and documentation of parent-teacher conferences.

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 10 am - 12:35 pm . There were 69 children present with 9 staff. I observed children involved in a variety of activities: bubble painting; painting paper plates; interacting with a story (Bear Hunt); singing; working with building activities; involved in role-playing; doing movement activities on the enclosed porch; and eating snack. Parent-teacher conferences are scheduled and a field day is coming up. Lots of useful educational information posted for visitors explain what skills and concepts were being practiced in different areas of the classroom. The playground was not inspected due to weather. Description: During today's inspection, an area on the floor of one classroom was observed to not be maintained in a safe condition. Evidence: The floor in Classroom D was observed today to have an area of tile that was cracking, posing a possible tripping hazard.

Plan of Correction: Crack has been temporarily covered with duct tape. Floor tiles are to be replaced within 7 - 10 days by contractor.

Description: During today's inspection, a review of children's medications found that one medication authorization was not current. Evidence: A parent and physician's authorizations for a long-term medication for Child 1 expired 3/31/16.

Description: During today's inspection, the lunch menu was posted but there was no snack menu available for review as required.
