Comments:
An unannounced complaint investigation was conducted today regarding a complaint received on April 22, 2016. The complainant alleged that the the children were not appropriately washing hands using soap as several classroom and bathroom sinks were not equipped with soap. Observation from 11:00 AM - 12:55 PM revealed classroom and bathroom sinks equipped with either filled wall mounted soap dispensers and/or pump soap dispensers placed on the sinks. Children were observed washing hands using soap and running water after using the bathroom and before and after eating lunch. Interviews with staff supported appropriate hand washing techniques and did not support the allegation that soap is or was not available at the sinks. Children interviewed responded with acceptable hand washing practices/procedures. Please contact the inspector if there are any questions.
