An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today by the licensing inspector today as part of a 60 day inspection since a conditional license was issued. The center director was present and a sample of children's records were reviewed on site. The preschool children were initially outside on the back playground then returned inside the building for lunch. there infants were either sleeping, playing on the floor, being held, diapered and observed during lunch. A sample of children's records were reviewed on site. Transportation is not provided by the licensee and children have the option of bringing food from home or eating center food. today's menu: lunch - cheese & spinach quesadilla, peaches, pepper slices, milk snack - whole grain muffin, pineapple, pepper, milk and animal crackers, water, cucumbers evacuation drill 4/21/16 Two shelter in place drills are required annually. staff/child ratios observed: infants 2:6 One child was asleep while the remaining children were either on the floor playing or being held by staff. They were briefly observed having lunch. older infants/toddler 1:5 most of the chiildren were sleeping. preschool 1:5 The children were coming inside to wash up and prepare for lunch. The playground is flat with wood chips on top of the dirt. We discussed various options for playground use. Approximate time on site 11:15 am 1: 15 pm
