A subsidy health and safety inspection (SHSI) was conducted in conjunction with the licensing inspection. Subsidy standards that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this SHSI.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the violation will be or has been corrected. Standard #: 8VAC20-790-170-G Description: The vendor shall maintain, in a way that is accessible to all caregivers, a current written list of all children's allergies, sensitivities, and dietary restrictions. This list shall be dated and kept confidential. Two children, enrolled for over 11 months, with diagnosed food allergies, were not on the allergy list. , Plan of Correction: Not available online. Standard #: 8VAC20-790-180-B Description: Repeat Violation
The vendor shall maintain a written hard copy record of daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs. Eight children were observed in attendance and seven children were signed in on the attendance log. Standard #: 8VAC20-790-190-B-12 Description: A written care plan is required for each child with a diagnosed food allergy, to include instructions from a physician regarding the food to which the child is allergic and the steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction.
