Out of the abundance of caution, please do not use the schoolage playground until you have removed the mushrooms. Please make sure that the mushrooms are not poisonous before allowing children back on that playground.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today with the director. Sixty seven children and 14 staff were present during the walkthrough. The Licensing Inspector was able to observe diapering procedures, circle time, outside play and afternoon snack ( applesauce/slices, cheese and water). One child had medication on site. Four children and three staff files were reviewed. Fire inspection: 9/115. Arrival time: 2:30 pm Departure time: 4:30pm
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-570-A Description: Based on observation it was determined that protective belts were not fastened for two infants. Evidence: The Licensing Inspector observed two infants in high chairs and their protective belts were not fastened. Plan of Correction: The two children are 13 months of age. There is a center post that keeps them from sliding out. Staff have been reminded that children need to be buckled into seats regardless of age/size. Licensing Inspector reported that the children were fastened after being reminded.
