An exit interview was conducted with the director to discuss the results of today's inspection. Consultation was given regarding behavioral plans and parent involvement.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today, June 28, 2016 to determine the summer program's compliance with licensing standards. Upon arrival, twelve school age children were observed being supervised by two staff. Children were observed using the restroom, playing with toys, participating in educational games, and playing outdoors. Lunch and snack are provided by the parents; however, backup snacks are available. All areas used by children were inspected to include the main hallways, children's restrooms, classrooms, and the atrium. Due to earlier rain today the playground was not inspected.
The program had the required postings displayed on the wall upon entering the hallway and classroom. The program's first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected with the required supplies found. Five children's and one staff record were inspected with the required information present. The following was also inspected on this day: annual fire & health inspections, fire/shelter-in-place drills, injury prevention plan, children injury reports, parent agreements, and other pertinent information.
If you have any questions regarding this inspection, contact the licensing inspector at (804) 662-9771.
