- Technical Assistance:
Conducted an unannounced monitoring inspection 2:05-2:50pm. Observed 42 children + 4 direct-care staff. [1 staff was assigned to 1 child with special needs.] Ratios and supervision were in compliance. Children were observed having outdoor active play, and participating in a team STEM challenge of building a parachute with limited supplied. Staff were actively engaged with the children and assisting as needed. The activity area was clean, safeguarded appropriately, and sufficiently supplied with equipment for the children. No medications reported to be on-site. Required documents were posted. Record keeping is now maintained electronically. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-70-A Description: Based on records reviewed and interview conducted, it was determined that there was no documentation available for review that would show who on staff working today is currently trained in Daily Health Observations. Plan of Correction: Record of this certification is available electronically via the site Ipad. Site staf [sic] are now reminded of how to access this information.
