- Technical Assistance:
Discussed with the Director: Use of shaving cream for art projects; Assuring that the covers are used for the plastic sand boxes that are in the large sand boxes. Also discussed having both Epipens of the two pack if required by the physician in the permission form.
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted beginning at 10:00 and ending at 1:15. There were 200 children present with 23 staff. All classrooms were in appropriate ratio. Observed lunch of breaded fish, green beans and tangerines or watermelon. Observed activities including art, building, games, reading and small group centers . Children were actively engaged with staff and their peers. They comfortably chatted with the Licensing Inspector. Reviewed medications for 8 children - complete Reviewed 6 staff files - complete Reviewed 3 Board Officers background checks - complete and current Reviewed 11 children's files - complete Emergency escape drill and shelter in place drills are up to date as are health and Fire Inspections. Pool inspection is also current. Liability Insurance is current. There are multiple staff that are MAT (Medication training) , First Aid and CPR.
