The inspector conducted an unannounced mandated inspection from 9:10 a.m. until 11:20 a.m. There were seven children in care with two staff supervising at all times. A third staff person starting working at 10:00 a.m. Children were observed coloring, having circle time, washing hands and having a snack. No medications are being administered at this time. The violations from the last inspection had been corrected. The violation from today is identified on the violation notice. Please call your inspector at 276 698-9981 with any questions.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-550-D Description: Based on record review, the center did not have a monthly practice evacuation drill every month. Evidence: 1. The inspector reviewed the drill documention and there was no documentation of a drill for August 2016. Plan of Correction: The director said that they would have two drills in September to make up for the one missed.
