Current Inspector: Rebecca Forestier (540) 309-2835

Inspection Date: Sept. 20, 2016

Complaint Related: No

Areas Reviewed:

An announced inspection was done today, September 20, 2016 to investigate a center reported incident regarding allegations that a staff member squeezed a child's hand and scratched the child with her fingernail while on a field trip taken on September 15, 2016. This was reported to the licensing office by the executive director of the center on September 19, 2016. The inspector interviewed staff, witnesses on the field trip and the parents of the child. The inspector also viewed photographs of the child's finger. The investigation was completed on September 23, 2016. Based on the information obtained from the interviews the inspector determines there is not a preponderance of evidence to support the allegation. Therefore, the center reported allegation is determined to be invalid. If you have any additional questions, please contact the inspector at 540-309-2835.

For compliance history prior to July 1, 2003, or information regarding the status of pending adverse actions, please contact the Licensing Inspector listed in the facility's information. The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) is not responsible for any errors in or omissions from the compliance history information.
