Thank you for your time and assistance with the unannounced monitoring inspection conducted today, October 27, 2016. The on-site inspection was conducted from 11:25a.m. to 2:30p.m. On this date, there were sixteen (16) children in the care of two (2) staff members in one (1) classroom. There were a total of sixteen (16) children enrolled in the preschool program. Two (2) staff members' records were reviewed on October 18, 2016 at MACAA's main office. There were three (3) children's records reviewed. There were two (2) staff members and three (3) children interviewed. No medications were being administered at the time of the inspection. Snack was observed to meet USDA guidelines and consisted of granola bars and milk. There were an ample supply of toys, equipment and learning materials. The children seemed at ease and comfortable with the daily routine. Outdoor play, transitions, bathroom and hand washing procedures, story time, language art activities with the Smart Board, nap, snack, and dismissal procedures were observed during the visit.
