The inspector conducted an unannounced renewal inspection from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 at the center and then at the main office from 1:30 -2:00 to review two staff records. There were 14 children in care with staff supervising at all times. Children were observed working on a craft, playing, and having a bathroom break, washing hands, and eating lunch. No medications were being administered. Three children's records were reviewed. Violations had been corrected from the last inspection. Violations are identified on the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Description: Based on record review, the center did not have all the required information in children's records. Evidence: 1. The inspector reviewed three children's records. Three of three records did not have information about chronic conditions completed. Plan of Correction: The director will get the information from the parent and complete the form.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-550-D Description: Based on record review, the center did not complete all the required drills. Evidence: 1. The inspector reviewed drill records. A drill was not completed for the month of October. Plan of Correction: The class will conduct an additional drill in November to make up for the missed one in October.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-560-K Description: Based on observation, the center did not sanitize tables before eating lunch. Evidence: 1. The inspector observed tables being wiped with sanitizing wipes before lunch was served in the classroom. Wipes are not an acceptable way to sanitize tables. Sanitize means that a surface is sprayed or dipped with a disinfectant solution and allowed to air dry. Plan of Correction: The center will obtain a disinfectant and use it when serving lunch and/or snacks in the room.
Standard #: 22VAC40-80-120-E-2 Description: Based on observation, the center did not have the most recent inspection posted. Evidence: 1. The inspector or staff could not locate the most recent inspection. Plan of Correction: Center staff will make sure to post the most recent inspection.
