Thank you for your assistance during this unannounced inspection. This on-site visit was conducted on October 28, 2016 from 11:35 a.m. through 1:40 p.m. On this date, there were forty-two (42) children in the care of seven (7) staff members. There are a total of ninety-one (91) enrolled in this after school program. Five (5) children's records and three (3) staff records were reviewed and updated. No medication is being administered at this time. Areas of non-compliance may be found on the violation notice. Areas observed were inside play, transition, hand washing/bathroom procedures, lunch, and movie. All interactions between staff and children were appropriate and the children seemed comfortable with the daily routine. There are a wide variety of age/stage materials for the children in care. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-160-A Description: Staff A did not have documentation of obtaining a tuberculosis screening within 21 days of employment. Evidence: Based on record review and conversation with the director, it was confirmed Staff A did not have documentation of obtaining a tuberculosis screening. Plan of Correction: Staff A will obtain a tuberculosis screening. Documentation will be placed in staff's file.
