Technical Assistance:
Consulted with the director on food brought from home that could present possible choking hazards to children ages three years and younger.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. Ratios were found in compliance except for one group at nap time. The children were observed participating in circle games, movement activities, singing songs, and playing outside. Lunch and rest time were also observed. Medication procedures were reviewed and found in order. Staff with current MAT, first aid and CPR training were on site. Records for new staff were reviewed and found in order. The interior of the center has been newly painted and looks good. The violations cited at the last inspection have been corrected. If you have any questions, I can be reached at 703-479-4709.

Description: Based on observation and staff interview, the required staff to children ratios were not maintained during the rest period. Findings: At the time of the inspection, the inspector observed a group of 10 children, ages 13 months to 20 months with only two staff at rest time.

Description: Based on observation, a 911 or phone number for police, fire and emergency medical services and the phone number of the regional poison control center was not posted near the telephone.

Description: Based on observation, the most recent Violation notice was not posted.
