The level of resilient surfacing on the playground could not be inspected today due to yesterday's very heavy rain.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. There were were 43 children in care on site, with a total of 8 staff members assigned to their direct supervision. There were an additional 10 children:2 staff members attending an off site field trip. The children were observed engaging in a large variety of creative play activities, making Christmas gifts and art projects, playing outside, singing songs, enjoying circle time discussions, and enjoying small hands on activities including cutting/lacing/writing. All classrooms continue to be well equipped with a large variety of materials, and creative programming continues to be demonstrated in all classrooms. This inspection was completed between approximately 10:00 am and 11:10 am. Thank you for meeting with me today. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-560-K Description: Based on observations, it was determined that the tables used daily for feeding are not sanitized as required. Evidence: The cleaning solution that is used to clean the snack tables is not an approved sanitizing solution. Plan of Correction: We will begin using an approved sanitizing solution.
