Technical Assistance:
National fingerprinting background check requirements go into effect on 9/30/17. All brooms, dustpans and other cleaning equipment shall be stored in areas beyond the children's immediate reach. These items shall not be stored in the children's bathrooms.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. There were 46 children in care, with a total of 6 staff members assigned to their direct supervision. The children were observed eating snack, playing outside, creating Christmas art projects, attending Spanish class, and enjoying a presentation from a local librarian. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A
Description: Based on a review of children's records, it was determined that one record was not complete. Evidence: Child record #4 does not include documentation to show that a staff person viewed the child's original proof of identification.

Plan of Correction: We did view the child's original birth certificate at the time of enrollment. The documentation will be updated.
