- Technical Assistance:
The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced monitoring inspection Friday, December 16, 2016 from 1:10 pm to 2:44pm. The children were observed resting on cots. The infants were observed playing with toys, sleeping, being fed and being held. All classrooms and playgrounds were inspected today as well as the facility?s mini buses. Three children?s records and six employee records were reviewed during this inspection. The center administers medication; however they did not have any being given at this time. The center's first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected. Last emergency drill: 12/01/2016 Last shelter-in-place drill: 02/25/2016 Last fire inspection: 12/30/2015 Last health inspection: 06/22/2016 Total enrollment today: 49 Today, the following child to staff ratios were observed: Infants ?7:2 Toddlers ?8:1 (rest time ratio) Twos & Threes? 14:1(rest time ratio) Threes & Fours ?20:1(rest time ratio) School Age ? not present The violations from the previous inspections were checked for corrections. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B Description: Based on observation on 12/16/2016, the center did not ensure that hazardous substances such as cleaning materials, were kept in a locked place. EVIDENCE: A spray bottle labeled " bleach water" and two other spray bottles of cleaning supplies were observed in an unlocked cabinet in the School Age Room. Plan of Correction: Corrected on site. Bottles placed in a locked cabinet.
