Discussed changes at the center and the sister center. Discussed training of staff and the directors mission for the center Discussed VPI classrooms
35 children present at the time of this renewal inspection with 6 staff . The children in most of the rooms are napping. The children in the infant room are interacting with the staff and some are napping. The center has lots of materials for the children to explore. All rooms are in ratio today. Today the children had pasta and meat balls, peas and peaches. This visit was started at 12:15 and ended at 2:00. Please call me at 703-203-8659 if you have any questions regarding this visit.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B Description: The center failed to lock up cleaners and air fresheners in several rooms. Evidence: Based on the physical plant review a spray bottle containing bleach and water solution was left in the infant room by the sink. The school age room had a can of air freshener at the teachers desk and three can were on a wire shelf in the 2 year old room. Plan of Correction: Will discuss with staff and store in a locked location.
