Comments:
44 Children were in care during the inspection. The age range of the children was two months to five years old. Children were observed during free play and learning the numbers for the new year. Three staff were current in MAT. Eight staff and eight children's records were reviewed. Inspection time 9:45am- 10:30am

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-500-A
Description: Based on observation not all staff washed hands after helping a child in the bathroom. Evidence: Staff did not wash their hands after helping children change their pull up diapers.

Plan of Correction: I will retrain all staff. I will demonstrate a diaper change for the staff.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-500-B
Description: Based on observation not all diaper pads were cleaned or sanitized after use. Evidence: The diaper pad was not cleaned or sanitized after changing a child in the Toddler room.

Plan of Correction: I will retrain staff and demonstrate how to clean and sanitize the diaper pad.
