Technical Assistance:
Discussed with the Director: Use of the Auxillary Gym. May not use it until it has been measured. Also need new floor plans that show that space. The Library, Story Room and Music Room have been measured and approved. Reminder: You have baskets for children's belongings. They should be used. Also discussed assuring that the Violation Notice is posted so that it is accessible to the parents and not behind the Inspection Summary in a plastic sleeve.

Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted beginning at 3:50 and ending at 5:45. There were 38 children present, ages 5 - 11. Children were observed having a snack of cookies and milk, playing an active group game and departing with their parent. Reviewed medications for 5 children - they were in compliance with the standards Reviewed 5 staff files - see violation notice Reviewed 8 children's files - they were in compliance with the standards Emergency escape drills and shelter in place drills are up to date as is the Health Inspection. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-260-A
Description: Based on a review of Inspections, it was determined that the last Fire Inspection was over a year ago. Evidence: The last Fire Inspection for this school was 3/25/15. There must be a fire inspection done every year.

Plan of Correction: The Director has been talking to the office who said that there will be an inspection in February. Staff will continue to follow up.

Standard #: 22VAC40-191-40-C-1-B
Description: Based on a review of Staff files it was determined that 1 file of the 6 reviewed did not have a CPS Central Registry check. Evidence: Staff #1, who began work on 11/10/16, did not have a completed CPS background check on file.

Plan of Correction: The Director has notified the office and they will follow up.

Standard #: 22VAC40-191-60-C-2
Description: Based on a review of background checks, it was determined that one staff who has been employed over 30 days and who does not have a CPS Central Registry Check is working. Evidence: Staff #1 was working today during the inspection. She does not have a CPS Background check on file. She began work on 11/10/16

Plan of Correction: The staff person will not be allowed to return to work until a satisfactory CPS check is on site.
