22VAC40-191 Background Checks (22VAC40-191)

An unannounced renewal study was conducted today. All groups were in ratio during the inspection. The emergency escape drills, first aid supplies, insurance policies are all in compliance. The playground was not inspected due to inclement weather. Children were observed participating in an art project, building with blocks, and resting. Background searches were mailed out for the Board officers; however, they have not been received yet. If you have any questions regarding this inspection, please contact me at 703- 479-4678. Description: Based upon a review of files, the officers for the the facility do not have completed background searches on file. Evidence: Three Executive Board Officers do not have completed CRC or CPS searches on file. (Adult B, C, D)

Plan of Correction: Searches have been submitted for these officers. I will contact you as soon as they are received.

Description: Based upon a review of files, background searches have not been repeated in the allowable three year time frame. Evidence: Adult A's background searches were not repeated in three years. *The Child Protective Services Searches (CPS) is dated 6/29/10 (expired) *The Criminal Record Check (CRC) is dated 6/29/2010 (expired)

Plan of Correction: The background searches will be submitted immediately.
