An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted in the Center on January 20, 2017. Upon arrival to the Center at 9:50 am, the LI observed 23 children in care. The children were grouped in two classrooms with 2 staff members supervising each classroom. One additional child arrived to the center prior to the lunch meal which increased the daily attendance to 24 children. As reported, 30 children are currently enrolled in the program. Two additional support staff were also present in the Center. The children were observed in each classroom as they participated in varied activities. Staff were engaged with the children and was observed reading to each group. The children participated in music activities and self-selected centers. Hand-washing procedures and the lunch meal was also observed by the LI. Documentation of the Center's annual fire and health inspections was current. A sample of three children's records was reviewed. The first aid kit and emergency supplies were observed. Prescribed medications and written authorization to administer were reviewed for two children. There were no observed violations during this inspection.
