Technical Assistance:
Consultation was given on the following: Current Fire Permit expires 2/2017. Picnic Tables on the side of the playground must be covered with a table cloth or repainted for the children to use them as green paint is peeling off of all 4 tables.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring visit was conducted today. Twelve children were present with a teacher and co-op parent volunteer. Children were observed in free play, transition to circle time and calendar activities (days of the week, month, weather). Rooms are well equipped with age appropriate materials and equipment. One child currently enrolled with emergency medication and staff member has up to date Medication Administration Training (MAT) certification as well as current first aid and CPR. First aid supplies are up to date. The playground was wet fro yesterday's heavy rain and was not in use today. Areas of non-compliance are identified in this report. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A
Description: Based on record review, a written allergy action plan was was not valid as the medication was not on-site. Evidence: An action plan for child #1 called for an antihistamine to be given for a inor reaction but the medication was not on-site to administer in case of an emergency.

Plan of Correction: The Center Director will request the medication from the parent at pick-up to be bought into the program the next day the child attends the preschool program.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-550-M
Description: Based on review of accident reports 2 of 2 are incomplete. Evidence: 2 were missing future action to prevent reoccurrence of injury 1 of 2 was missing the time the parent was notified.

Plan of Correction: Center Director will review the reports to ensure all required information is entered into the form.
