Standard #: 22VAC40-185-50-A Description: Based on inspector's observations in the toddler classroom, children's information was not treated in a confidential manner. Evidence: The inspector observed a print out of a child's information to include full name, date of birth, address, information for parent, etc. posted on a bulletin board as you enter the classroom. Plan of Correction: The information was removed during the day of the inspection and staff will be reminded information for children can not be posted.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-500-B Description: Based on the inspector's observations in the infant classroom, the diaper changing surface was not sanitized properly. Evidence: The inspector observed two diaper changes in the infant classroom conducted by two separate staff members. During both diaper changes the bleach/water solution used as a sanitizer was applied to the nonabsorbent surface and immediately wiped off with the a paper towel. The sanitizer is required to air dry or dry on the surface for at least two minutes. Plan of Correction: The Program Director will review with staff the requirements for proper sanitization of a diapering surface.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-550-D Description: Based on the inspector's review of the documented emergency drills, the center failed to document a second shelter in place drill for the past year. Evidence: There was only one shelter in place drill documented for the 2016 year. Plan of Correction: The Program Director will ensure at least two shelter in place drills will be conducted and documented each year.
