Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B Description: Based on direct observations, the Center failed to ensure hazardous substances such as cleaning materials were kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children. If a key is used, the key shall not be accessible to the children. Evidence: At lunch time, the LI observed the lock on the wall cabinet door in the large child care area unlocked. The LI opened the door, cleaning supplies were stored in the cabinet. The LI gave notice to the dietary staff and she immediately locked the cabinet. Plan of Correction: All staff will be reminded to monitor the cabinet on-going to ensure that it is locked at all times.
