Technical Assistance:
During inspection, inspector spoke with Program Specialist serving as substitute supervisor about ensuring site staff has access to emergency contact information for substitutes.

Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from approximately 2:55pm-4:00pm. There were 65 children (school age) directly supervised by 4 staff. The physical plant, 4 staff records, 4 children?s records, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, reading books, playing outside, and eating snack of cereal and milk. There was a sufficient supply of materials for the children. There was an adequate number of staff with current certification in MAT, CPR and First Aid training. Staff-to-child ratios were in compliance. The center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Description: Based on inspection of emergency supplies all required items were not in working order. Evidence: During inspection 2 flashlights were on site but neither of them had batteries; inspector was unable to determine if they were in working order.

Plan of Correction: Per teacher, the director has purchased batteries and will check emergency supplies
