- Technical Assistance:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was made on March 22, 2017 at 1:00 p. m. and concluded at 2:45 p. m. The inspector met with staff and Child Day Center standards were reviewed. The following staff-to-child ratios were observed: Two/Three Years: There were nine children with two staff. The children were having lunch, later were observed taking a nap. Four/Five Years: There were 14 children with two staff. The children were finishing lunch and later were observed taking a nap. Four children records were reviewed. Five staff records reviewed. Medication procedures were reviewed. Conversations were held with all staff, children were napping. Two classroom observations were conducted
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Description: Based on review of children records the center did not have all required information on file. Evidence: On 3/22/17, after review of four children records, child #1 who attended the center on 3/17/2017 did not have a complete registration/enrollment record on file. Plan of Correction: The center will get the registration form on file for child #1 before he can come back for care.
