The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced subsidy health and safety inspection from 2:00pm - 5:00pm. There were fifty five girls in care with eight staff. The girls were observed arriving at the center, having snacks and at free time. Eight staff and four children's records were reviewed. Areas of non-compliance are identified on the violation notice. Standard #: VENDSUB-000-031-B-3 Description: Based on review of the center's emergency preparedness plan, the center failed to include all requirements for their lockdown procedures.
1. The inspector reviewed the center's emergency preparedness plan. The center did not include their method to alert staff and emergency responders, their method to secure the facility, their method to account for the children, and their method for reuniting the children with their parents during lockdowns.
Plan of Correction: The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will add the additional requirements to their lockdown procedures and review with staff.
