KinderCare Learning Center #301796
11723 Lee Highway
Fairfax, VA 22030
(703) 385-1150

Current Inspector: Pernille Brandt (703) 203-8659

Inspection Date: March 31, 2017

Complaint Related: No

Areas Reviewed:

An inspection has been completed at the center after the center called in to report that a family reported an allegation regarding behavior guidance and /or forbidden action. The Inspector interviewed various staff, reviewed records, and observed the class. The Inspector did not have preponderance of evidence to support the allegation, but did observe one of the classes were out of ratio. Please call with questions 703-479-4679

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-350-C
Description: Based on observation and record review, the program was over ratio in the young toddler room by 1 child. Evidence: 1. a staff member was present with 5 children in the toddler class. The Inspector requested ages of each child and it was revealed that child #1 was 15 months old which requires a ratio of 4 to 1. 2. Staff stated they thought the toddler ratio of 5 to 1 started at 15 months and it was explained that it is 16 months.

Plan of Correction: We misunderstood the age to staff ratio as we thought it was 15 months. We will make sure all children are in correct age groups.
