- Technical Assistance:
Discussed documentation of Evacuation and Shelter in Place drills. Infant room and supervision during diaper changing was discussed.
An unannounced inspection has been conducted between 910-1045. The Inspector reviewed records of staff and children, viewed special care procedures, medication, evacuation and daily schedules. The Inspector interviewed staff, observed two classes and sat with another group of children. Ratios and groupings were in compliance. Hand washing was also observed. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-140-A Description: Record review of children's files, revealed child #2 did not have a physical report on file. Plan of Correction: We will request this report from the parent.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-270-A Description: Based on observation of the inside, there are areas within the center that have not been maintained. 1. Toilet in the Two's class is not operating. 2. The sink base in the Pre K A room is cracked and the laminate is chipping. Plan of Correction: We have put a work order in for the toilet and we will put one in for the sink.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-550-M Description: After review of 8 Injury reports, the center did not document verification that parent was notified by the end of the day when 3 forms did not include parent signatures or two staff signatures of notification. Plan of Correction: We are in the process of going to new injury reports that will ensure documentation of either parents signature or two staff signatures verify notification because we do notify families.
