Consultation provided on allowing children ample time to finish snack.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. Three staff and 31children were present. The children and staff were arriving from outside time at the beginning of the inspection. The children washed their hands, ate snack ( oranges, graham crackers and water) and then proceeded into homework or computer lab time. Four children had medication on site. Four staff and five children's files were reviewed. Please submit your plan of correction by 3/31/17. Fire inspection: 7/11/16 Health inspection: 10/20/16 Arrival time: 4;15 pm Departure time: 6:15pm
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-340-G Description: Based on observation, it was determined that a child under 10 years of age was not in sight and sound supervision of staff. Evidence: The Licensing Inspector observed three staff and a group of children enter the school from outside time. The Licensing Inspector got out of the car and approached the building and observed child A ( 8 years of age) on the side of the school and walking toward the entrance. Staff A returned from inside the building and retrieved the child. The child was out of sight and sound supervision of the staff. Plan of Correction: Not available online.
