An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 7:00am - 8:45 am. There were 34 children in care being supervised by five staff members. The children were observed participating in cooperative games, tabletop activities, and eating breakfast. Breakfast served today is ham and cheese croissant, nutri-grain bar, vegetable and fruit juice, and milk. Ten children's records were reviewed and in compliance. Five staff records were reviewed. The first aid kit, flashlight, and radio were observed and in compliance. The most recent emergency escape drill and shelter in place drill was conducted 4/03/2017. Nine medication's were reviewed. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-A Description: Based on observation of nine medications it was determined that not all medication was given in accordance with the centers written medication policies. Evidence: Child A with a medication authorization form dated 8/26/2016 was not accompanied by a physician's signature therefore giving the authorization form an expiration date of ten working days. Plan of Correction: Administration will request that the parent of child A fill out a new medication authorization form accompanied by a physician's signature.
