An unannounced Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection was conducted on April 24, 2017 from approximately 1:20 PM to 3:10 PM. At the onset of inspection, four staff were present with twenty-one children. Children were observed napping. The sample size was four staff and four children's records.
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-012-F Description: Based on review, facility did not ensure 2 of 4 staff are CPR and First Aid trained. Evidence: On April 24, 2017, there was not documentation of completed CPR and First Aid for staff #3 and staff #4. Plan of Correction: Newport News PR&T maintains CPR & first aid certifications of all full time staff. Administration will continue to work toward certification of all other staff.
