An unannounced monitoring inspection was completed on May 19, 2017. The purpose of this visit was to measure the facility's compliance with the licensing standards. The following ratios were observed: Infants-3:12; Toddlers-2:9; Discovery Preschool-2:8; Preschool-2:16; Pre-k-2:9 The children throughout the facility were engaged in activity. The infants were eating, sleeping, singing songs with staff and playing on the floor. Children in the toddler through four year old classes were observed coloring, listening to stories, playing with toys, working in learning centers and playing on the playground. Staff was observed interacting with the children and providing assistance when needed. All areas of the center including classrooms, hallways, bathrooms and playgrounds were inspected. The facility was equipped with manipulatives and supplies and items were available to the children. The following information was reviewed: emergency preparedness plan, fire and shelter-in-place drills, liability insurance policy, parent agreements, staff training information and other required postings and documentation. Medication is administered; medication authorizations were reviewed. Staff is certified in cpr/first aid, daily health screening and MAT. Last documented health inspection: 5/19/2017 Last documented fire inspection: 2/7/2017 During the inspection, five children's records and four staff records were reviewed. The first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected and found to be complete. Approximate time on site: 9:45am to 1:00pm
