Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted with center director and center staff. There were 56 children present, ranging in age from 6 months to 12 years. The children were having rest time, waking from rest, having afternoon snack, arriving from school, and playing outdoors. Snack served today: cucumbers with dip and crackers. Twelve medications for six children were reviewed and are in compliance. Several staff have current Medication Administration Training. The last health inspection was conducted 1/20/2017. The last fire inspection was conducted 6/5/2017. One new staff file was reviewed and is in compliance. The school age room updates look great and will be beneficial for summer camp. Time of today's inspection: 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please call me if you have any questions 540-219-4122 or e-mail tara.barton@dss.virginia.gov.
