- Technical Assistance:
The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced subsidy health and safety inspection Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 11:06am to 3:45pm. The children were observed listening to a story, eating lunch and resting on cots. Lunch consisted of turkey sandwich, mixed vegetables, peaches and milk. The lunch menu is posted. All classrooms and playgrounds were inspected today as well as the facility?s mini buses. Four children?s records and three employee records were reviewed during this inspection. The center administers medication and it was reviewed. Five injury reports were reviewed and an injury prevention plan is completed monthly. The center's first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected. Standard #: VENDSUB-000-035-D-5 Description: Based on observation and staff interview on 06/15/2017, the center did not ensure that allergy care plans were on the transportation. EVIDENCE: 1. There are two children on the allergy list who ride the bus for transportation to/or from school. 2. Staff #4 stated that there aren't any allergy care plans on the bus. Plan of Correction: Will add allergy plans to busses by Monday, 6/19/2017.
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-006-B-11 Description: Based on a review of children's records on 06/15/2017, the center did not ensure that for children with a diagnosed food allergy there was a written allergy care plan. EVIDENCE: The records of Child #1 and Child #3, who both have food allergies, did not contain a written allergy care plan. Plan of Correction: An allergy plan will be obtained for children by Wednesday, 6/21/2017. In addition, children with allergies will not be able to enroll unless an allergy plan is received upon enrollment.
