T.A. was provided about the pets and their equipment kept at the center.
The inspector conducted an announced initial inspection from approximately 10:45 until 1:00 p.m. Three classrooms and the playgrounds were inspected. The center had been licensed in the past. Systems are in place to have compliance of all the standards. Children were observed playing inside and outside, eating lunch, and positively interacting with staff. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-270-A Description: Based on observation, the center had a piece of equipment on the playground that was not maintained in a safe condition. Evidence: 1. The inspector observed an area on a wooden play structure near the steering wheel on the toddler play ground that had a worn area on it presenting a splinter risk. Plan of Correction: The director e-mailed the maintenance person during the inspection to have the problem area fixed.
