Comments:
An announced record review was conducted on June 27, 2017. A sample of two staff records were reviewed. Areas of non-compliance are identified on the violation notice. The results of the inspection and violations cited were reviewed and verified with the Recreation Program Coordinator during the exit interview.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-240-C
Description: Based a record review and staff interviews, the licensee did not ensure that program directors and staff who work directly with children shall annually attend 16 hours of staff development activities that are related to child safety and development and the function of the center. Evidence: During the inspection on June 27, 2017, one out of two records reviewed did not include documentation to indicate staff #1 had obtained the required 16 hours of annual training. There was only 10 and 1/2 hours documented of annual training for July 2015 until June 2016. The Recreation Program Coordinator verified the training documentation.

Plan of Correction: Going forward. We will monitor and if staff do not complete the required amount of hours they will be removed from the schedule until training hours are complete.
