An initial inspection was conducted today. No children are in care, thus those standards regarding the care and supervision of children were not reviewed. Written parent and staff policies were reviewed. The physical plant and playground space was measured and inspected. The facility approved space consists of three classrooms, one office, one multipurpose space, game room, pool and a kitchen. The, classroom capacity is calculated based on 35 square feet per child. Measurements of classrooms support the capacity of 57 children. The site director holds an Early Childhood Instruction and Education Support Specialist Certificates. The outside play space has stationary play equipment, overtop poured in place resilient surfacing enclosed by fencing. There is also a shade structure and tables available in the outdoor play area. There were no violations cited at this inspection. Any areas of standards related to direct service that were not determined during the initial inspection will be determined at the first unannounced inspection following the issuance of a license. All future inspections will be unannounced. The first unannounced inspection will be conducted within 60 days from the date the license is issued.
