An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on 7/11/17 at 10:00 a. m. and concluded at 12:30. The inspector met with staff and Child Day Center standards were reviewed. The following staff-to-child ratios and activities were observed. Two-Four Years: There were eight children with one staff. The children were sitting at the table listening to a book on tape. The children later had their lunch which consisted of Spaghetti, Salad, Oranges and Milk. Infants: There were two infants with two staff. The staff and infants were playing on the mat on the floor. Five children records were reviewed. Four staff records were reviewed. No medications on site, including emergency medications. Conversations were held with several staff and children. Classroom observations were conducted in two classrooms.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-160-A Description: Based on review of staff records the center did not have all requirements on file. Evidence: On 7/11/17, staff #1 record (start date 6/16/17) did not have a tuberculosis screening within 21 days of employment. Plan of Correction: Staff #1 in process of obtaining the tuberculosis screening today.
