An unannounced renewal study was conducted today from 9:55am to 12:20pm. Classroom ratios were in compliance. The physical site, 8 student records, 5 staff records, evacuation drills, injury reports and attendance records were reviewed. A school nurse was on site to maintain medications as well as emergency kits, which were reviewed. Required documents were posted. Summer camp was in session. The wading pool area was inspected and the current Department of Health Water Recreational Facilities Permit was reviewed. The horse riding area was also inspected. The children were observed transitioning from the pool, eating snack and interacting with the staff. All interactions were positive and the staff were friendly and inviting. The site was clean, well organized and contained an abundance of age appropriate materials. Staff were engaged with children and appropriate supervision was observed.
