The licensing inspectors conducted an unannounced subsidy health and safety inspection from 9:30am - 11:30am. There were fifteen children in care ranging in age from 6 months to 9 years with five staff supervising. The children were observed playing on the playground and during story time. Five staff and five children's records were reviewed. Areas of non-compliance are identified on the violation notice. Standard #: VENDSUB-000-012-B Description: Based on record reviews, the vendor failed to have staff complete the Virginia Preservice Training within 90 days. Evidence: 1. The inspector reviewed five staff records. Two of five records reviewed (staff records #3 and #4) did not have documentation that the staff had completed the training within 90 days from the vendor approval date (10/25/16). Plan of Correction: Staff #3 and #4 are currently working to complete the training and should be completed by 07/31/2017.
