The Licensing Inspector for Happy Feet Early Learning Center conducted an unannounced OTHER Inspection on July 10, 2017 to review violations cited on the Intensive Plan of Corrective Action. LI Anderson arrived at 11:04 AM and concluded inspection at 3:55 PM. Upon arrival, there were thirty-one (31) children ages 11 months ? 11 years old under the direct care and supervision of seven (7) staff members. Attendance in each group was as follows: Infant Classroom - seven (7) children; two (2) staff Toddler Classroom - three (3) children; one (1) staff 2/3 Year Old Classroom ?eight (8) (8) children; one (1) staff 3-4 Year Old Classroom ? six (6) children; one (1) staff School Age Classroom ? seven (7) school age children; one (1) staff Adult-to-child ratio requirements were met in each group. Staff & children records were unavailable for review. The exit interview including reviewing the Risk Assessment and areas of non-compliance found during today?s inspection were reviewed with the Center?s representative on 7/10/2017. EVIDENCE: The Center's most recent violation notice indicating the ares of non-compliance cited during the inspection conducted on March 21, 2017 were not posted. Standard #: 22VAC40-80-160-D Description: Based on discussion with staff members, the Licensee failed to ensure all of the Center's books & records are available at all times to the department's representative. EVIDENCE: Staff and children records were unavailable for review. The Center Director nor the assistant were present during the inspection to allow access to the review records.
