An announced initial inspection was completed on 07/25/2017. There were no children present during the inspection. The facility owner/program director was present during the inspection. The inspector reviewed the program directors staff record. The following areas were measured and reviewed: the indoor space to be used, bathrooms and outdoor play space. The following policies were reviewed: all staff policies/procedures, all parent policies/procedures and all emergency procedures and supplies were reviewed. The inspector discussed the following the program director: shade for the outdoor play space, updating items annually, keeping records confidential, proper storage of cleaning supplies, recording keeping, annual training requirements and the licensing process. The inspector arrived at 9:00 a.m. and departed at 1:00 p.m. An exit interview took place at the conclusion of the inspection to discuss areas of non-compliance. Thank you for your time today. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-540-C Description: Based on observation, the facility failed to ensure that the first-aid kit contained all of the minimum requirements. Evidence: The first-aid kit did not contain triangular bandages. Plan of Correction: The facility owner/program director will purchase triangular bandages today.
