Consultation provided on reunification procedures for evacuations and shelter -in-place drills and facility specific orientation to address the EPP ( lock-down, reunification) and children's allergies.
An Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted today with the director. Fifty two children were present with 8 staff on site. Six children had medications on site and seven staff files were reviewed. The SHSI standards were reviewed today. Arrival time: 1:25 p.m. Departure time: 3:40 p.m.
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-004-F Description: Based on a review of the posted allergy list, it was determined that a child with allergies was no listed/posted. Evidence: Child A has an allergy to peanuts and has an Epipen on site, however this child was not listed on the allergy list. Plan of Correction: We will add this child to the list.
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-006-B-11 Description: Based on a review of the written allergy care plans, it was determined that one child with diagnosed with food allergies but did not have a written plan from the physician on file regarding the food to which the child is allergic to and steps to be taken in the event of suspected or confirmed allergic reaction. Evidence: Child B did not have a written allergy plan on file for the allergies of milk, eggs, nuts and fish. Plan of Correction: We will obtain a plan from the parents.
