An unannounced subsidy health and safety inspection was conducted with the director beginning at 12:15 PM and ending at 3:10 PM. There were twenty-one children, ages five through thirteen years old, in care of three staff members during the inspections. The children were observed playing with blocks and manipulatives, playing board games, and educational video games. The younger school aged children were observed napping. The older school age children went on a field trip to go bowling. Hand washing procedures were observed. Five children?s records were reviewed and in compliance. Three staff records were reviewed. There were no medications on site during the inspection. The emergency escape drill log was reviewed and in compliance. The most recent emergency escape drill was documented as July 7, 2017. The most recent shelter in place was documented as June 21, 2017. The first aid kit, flashlight, and weather-band radio were observed and in compliance. Standard #: VENDSUB-000-012-E-1 Description: Based on a review of documentation, not all staff had a current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) appropriate to the age of children in care. Evidence: Staff A and B did not have current certification for for CPR. Plan of Correction: The center will schedule the staff members attend CPR training and obtain the certification.

Evidence: Staff A and B did not have current certification for for First Aid. Plan of Correction: The center will schedule the staff members attend First Aid training and obtain the certification.
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-031-B-3 Description: Based on a review of documentation, the emergency preparedness plan was not complete. Evidence: The emergency preparedness plan did not contain a lock-down procedure. Plan of Correction: The center director will create a lock down procedure and add it the the emergency preparedness plan.
